Celebrating Croatian Unity
The Diaspora Friendship Games are a first-of-their-kind international sports and cultural gathering, uniting Croatians and friends of Croatia from around the world in the homeland for an unforgettable experience of connection, pride, and competition.
Taking place July 16–20, 2026, in Split and on the island of Brač, the Games mark the beginning of a new Croatian tradition — one that transforms summer visits into moments of friendship, athletic spirit, and cultural celebration.
Each year, hundreds of thousands of Croatians from the diaspora return home to visit family, enjoy the coast, and reconnect with their roots. The Diaspora Friendship Games build on that tradition — offering a shared space where Croatians from every continent can meet, compete, and strengthen the bonds that tie us together across generations.
Participants will compete in nine sports that represent the best of our shared passion and coastal lifestyle:
Basketball - Volleyball - Stand-Up Paddleboarding - Tennis - Golf - Pickleball - Athletics / Running - Swimming - Boće
